June, 1995
"Defense Department collects a spaceborne virus originating from the planet Butman. They bring it back to Earth. The virus is mixed up with Department of Agriculture tissue samples from Dr. Rick Back's experiments on developing larger, leaner pigs. When the Butman virus is combined with Dr. Back's cultures, there is an explosion..." Twenty years after the death of the concept album, the Shellhead Mutants buck the trend with their second release. The loathsome Corn Man Pig threatens the planet with his mutagenic snot, turning millions into his pigheaded slaves. It's up to Earl Jackson (aka Ant Man Bee) to turn the tide, aided only by his cousin Tyrone, his mysterious mentor Bubba Woltech and his team of superheroes. This sprawling convas of good, evil and bodily secretions is painted with an equally broadmusical palette that ranges from punk to rap to noise to musique concrete
Following the 1992 disintegration of Naked Ape, Doc abandoned his populist aspirations and assembled a band of ugly guys to make ugly music about their ugly day jobs. With Corn Man and his old friend Roy Baleen Fluke, the Shellhead Mutants chewed up and spat out 3 bass players (Rusty Eelcloud, Johnny Prong Lobster and Sonny Carl Longboats aka Anatol Sucher) and recorded two full-length releases without ever playing out much or generating even the slightest buzz. Third full-length compilation coming soon on Gray Area.
